This sport was developed in Great Britain to give game bird hunters a way to hone their shooting skills in the off season. get as many as 75 to 100 shots. Day Three: Before arriving in California, you will have received a copy of the Annapolis Book of Seamanship, sent to you via Fed Ex, for your review and in anticipation of the next adventure activity. We depart from your hotel for Sausalito and get ready for the excitement of sailing on San Francisco Bay. You’ll take a challenging lesson right by the Golden Gate Bridge, and get fabulous views of San Francisco.
You will experience first hand sailing via a private sailboat with a professional instructor. This full day program covers all the basics about sailing and sailboats: how they work, the equipment, the instruments, sail trim and an introduction to helmsmanship. During this challenging and complete sailing experience you will learn plenty about crewing on a 28 foot keelboat on the open waters of San Francisco Bay. A continental breakfast and hearty gourmet lunch are included as well as the priceless views of Angel Island, Alcatraz and the city of San Francisco. You’ll be back at the dock in the late afternoon for your departure for the airport via luxury transportation. Our
professional Tour Director will meet you for departure to the 1200
acre Bird’s Landing Hunting Preserve & Sporting Clays.
After
lunch, we depart for Jim Russell Racing School. Rev your engines
for an afternoon of open-wheel kart racing at Infineon Raceway,
the motor-sports complex that hosts NASCAR. You will be outfitted
to drive karts, which racers use for training and have described
as similar in performance characteristics to an Indy car. Options
may include: Karting challenge, Formula Racecar Experience, or
Autocross Challenge, depending upon availability. Speeding around
the track, one inch off the pavement, cornering at over 2G’s,
karting is a low-flying, high adrenalin rush!
