Guests will arrive at the estate and "canvas" of international muralist and artist Carlos Marchiori. Each room of the estate depicts a unique setting created by the artist. The tour of the estate is the ultimate in Trompe L' Oeil. In the entryway, a Greek godlike figure bursts from the earth and spews clouds to the heavens. In the living room, Hercules and the Titans heroically hold columns and arches rock-steady. And on a bedroom ceiling, Icarus tumbles from the sky amid ancient statues of Prometheus, Poseidon and the Minotaur. Optional picnic box lunches are available and can be enjoyed at a local winery overlooking spectacular gardens.
This Art & Nature Preserve, established in 1996, encompasses 75 acres of grassland, lakes and four separate gallery buildings. This preserve represents over 500 Bay Area artists from the latter half of the is century.
